Honor Your Fellow Nurses With HPNA's Memorial Photo Tribute to Nursing Colleagues
To help celebrate the 2010 International Year of the Nurse (2010 IYNurse), HPNA has a very unique opportunity for its members to commemorate the invaluable contributions of their nursing colleagues who have died. The National Office will collect their names and photos to launch the HPNA Photo Memorial Tribute to Nursing Colleagues.
We invite you to send a photo and brief description of the colleague you wish to memorialize. This special person can be a nursing mentor, past nursing co-worker, national nursing leader, or a nurse in your life who has passed away.
To place a nurse on the HPNA Photo Memorial Tribute, please use the following directions:
Step 1: Prepare to send an email to number36group@photos.flickr.com
Step 2: Attach a photo of the nurse you will be honoring into an email – a jpeg file.
Step 3: Type the name and credentials of the nurse you are honoring in the subject line of the email. This becomes the photo's title.
Step 4: Type a short description of the nurse you are honoring in the body of the email. Please limit your description to 10 to 15 words in length. The body of the email becomes your photo's description. If you would like to include your name after the description, please type “Submitted By:” and type your name and credentials in the body of the email.
* Please do not include a salutation or signature in the body of your email for postings, as they will appear in your picture’s description.
Step 5: A sample email can be found below:
